Testing, testing...MIC CHECK twice a month!!
Here at 2Northdown we have two regular nights: Mic Check and The Good Friday Show that keep the good people and visitors of King’s Cross giggling throughout the month. If you haven’t had the chance to get along to either of these nights yet, have no fear - they each happen every month and always promise a cracking line up!
MIC CHECK (which happens twice every month) is a mixed bill night dedicated to letting the comedy circuit’s top comedians try out new material behind a mic. Be privy to some of the freshest new material and be some of the first ears to hear the top jokes of tomorrow!

Matt Richardson!
Matt is a multi-award winning stand-up comedian and one of the most exciting names on the circuit currently rising through the ranks. Having started stand-up in 2009 at 18 years old, Matt soon made it through to the finals of two national stand-up competitions – the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny and the Chortle Student Comedy Award – as well as coming runner up in the Reading Comedy Festival New Act of the Year and winning the Newbury and Bath Comedy Festival new act competitions ‘ – all while still in his teens. “High wattage charisma from a talented young comic whose star is on the rise” – The Guardian.

Alfie’s firebrand style of comedy has been forged from years of pushing boundaries and experimentation. Shortly after moving to London, she was quickly selected for the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve and Just the Tonic’s Big Value Showcase also garnering finalist positions in the Chortle Student Comedy Awards and Leicester Square Theatre’s New Comedian of the Year Award. A seasoned live-act, she performs stand-up comedy across the UK and Europe, most recently supporting Josie Long and Paul Foot on their European tours.
